Hobie-Wan Kenobi –
I bought three of these blanks. I built up two so far. I gave one to a friend and I built the other into a baitcasting rod (BFS). I am really impressed with the blank so far. Great for trout and bluegill!!!!
Has a deep bend under force. The tip loads very well and is not sloppy on the cast, very crisp. The rod easily works jigs and crankbaits well, which is hard for an UL rod to do.
The blank feel sensitive. I have no problem telling the difference between the different types of bottoms. Bite detection is also stellar.
