COME OVER, SPEND A DAY WITH US, AND BUILD A ROD “THE GARY WAY”
- You pick a category of blank that you want to build.
- Bass, Fly, Inshore, Salmon/Steelhead, Panfish/Freshwater
- We pick the grips (carbon), guides, reel seats,
- We provide the air carbon mesh of your choice – we have plenty of styles and colors!
- We provide Epoxy/Glue/Finish
This is a ONE DAY event. It is the responsibility of the attendee to arrange, lodging if you are not local, flights to Portland, OR and a rental car, etc. (~30 miles away). We will provide coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, beverages.
Short Itinerary: (Full Details to come in Welcome Email)
- 8 am – Arrive to Factory (Woodland, WA) or Edge Pro Shop in (Houston, TX) (Gary will be at all events)
- Rod build time!
- Noon – Lunch
- Rod wrap and rod finish time!
- 6 pm – Dinner
Attendees can expect to:
- Build a rod (and take it home the same day!)
- Learn how to use Air Carbon Mesh as a guide wrap
- Learn tips and tricks in using thread
- Learn about efficient finishing
- Learn to build finished rods the “Gary Loomis” way
- Unlimited Q&A for Gary Loomis and factory team.
- Gary will Autograph your rod, should you wish.
