We have built several rods on these blanks. When it comes to a drop-shot rod for larger or weedless techniques, this is an amazing option. Getting a set-up that is light, easily balanced and powerful enough to pull a bass from out of cover is a lot to ask of one rod. However, this blank is doing just that in our R&D and in customer feedback. If you, or your customers, plan to boat flip larger fish, I would recommend the Delta series of this blank. This one does well boat flipping, but has to be done correctly. It doesn’t tolerate extreme high-sticking, as most higher modulus rods do not.
If you need a drop-shot rod for fishing cover, this is one. We will be testing the HM model very soon.
