The ARB program is moving ahead, with a few rods already into or nearly through the evaluation process. In that process, the rods are being seen by several people, all hand-picked by (and including) Gary. One of those people is Vern Dollar, Gary and Susan’s long-time friend, and a man who has directed literally thousands of rod builds via his days running D&E Rods, as well as other OEM and custom projects over many years. In other words, Vern has seen a lot!

While Vern has a tough eye for builds, he also offers constructive feedback that custom builders should (hopefully) find useful. Whether or not a rod is initially accepted into the ARB program, Vern’s voice will be mixed in with the feedback provided to the builder. In other words, we want every builder who submits to the ARB program to benefit from the evaluation process.
