Gary and I got out and did some rod testing last Thursday with three steelhead guides. I was definitely low guy in the boat. I’ve been gear fishing for steelhead only a handful of times. Not one of the guys I was fishing with had less than 15 years of 150 plus days experience on the water.

After five minutes with our prototype St. 761-1(IM), one guide turned to me and said, I’ve been fishing with these [XXX] rods for five years and thinking they were the best. It took me five minutes with your stick to see I’ve been missing fish!

He ordered 14 of them on the spot. He won’t miss those fish now.
