A Few Days with Imago

During the first week of December we met with a potential new European client, Imago Flyfishing, which is based Sweden. Imago’s owners John and Alex spent four-and-a-half days at North Fork, fishing, casting, testing, and of course, being entertained by Gary’s stories (everyone is entertained by Gary stories, trust us on that one).

We had a great time with the Imago guys and may have even gotten some pretty sweet fly-rod tapers picked out by the time they left. While the Imago brand is not (yet) well-known in the U.S., it is rapidly building momentum in the European market. If you are interested in the fly side of things, and want to stay current with one of the new players in the field, check out Imago’s Facebook page.

A few pix from the trip (thanks to the Imago guys for sending these along):

The NFC space heater (also know as the bake oven), closed up and cooking a batch of Imago prototype blanks. The guys were able to flex blanks that afternoon.
