Fly Blanks are Getting Zeroed In

jb_testing_1007-2

Look familiar? A bit more of this and we're good...

The 905 (and likely 906) Next IM, two-piece fly blank(s) are getting really close to “go time.” After a couple of late nights of CCS-ing, deflecting, re-building, tip-swapping, and just plain old-fashioned wiggling, things are looking good. The catalog blanks will be picked from several excellent candidates after a final build-out and test-cast round. Published CCS values will follow ASAP after the final choice has been made. Other fly blanks to follow!

Update: We are going to bake another couple of sets of butt sections for the 905 and 906 blanks. We want to see if we can adjust the PR (Power Reservoir) a bit without shifting the AA or ERN. Once that’s done, we should be in “shipping shape,” so to speak.

Waiting patiently for the 9.5′ 7wt, CCS values are going to mean so much, thanks for using it.

would love to see the old 9’9″ 5 wt come back, and it would be great to have a 9 1/2′ 9 wt!

Doug—Flex tested a couple of “quick-build” 966 and 969 blanks yesterday (Friday, Nov 13). Liked what I felt.. Will probably alter the butt sections, but we may have those blanks sooner than we thought!

All—Fly blanks are on the burner, but had to be moved back a ways due to a very heavy load of production on the all-tackle side, and the arrival of some new mandrels. We’re on it, but it’s taken weeks longer than we had hoped. Our apologies for the delay!
