Welcome to the North Fork Connection
Well, we’re live! And with that, a little introduction is in order…
No promises, but we’ll be providing frequent updates as to what we are working on at North Fork. This will be the first place to learn of what we are working on. Stop by often, leave a thought or ask a question. We’ll try to do what we can.
I suppose that since this is “Post #1″ it makes a sense to introduce the players:
First and foremost, there is Gary. Do we really need to say more about Gary Loomis, the man who was a key player in bringing graphite to the fishing world over 35 years ago?
Second is Gary’s son, Brad Loomis. You won’t hear much from, or about, Brad—he is happy to let his work speak for him. I can tell you that many people think Brad is the finest machinist in the Loomis family. High praise indeed.
I round out the team (I’m the General Manager at NFC). It’s feels awkward to describe myself like this, so I’ll stop right here. Most of you are probably done reading this by now anyway since it’s the upcoming posts that will make this blog interesting.
Thanks so much for your support of Gary’s new venture.
Jon

Congratulations on the new venture Gary! I know its going to be BIG!
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a blank and make it into a rod! I’ll let Charlton Heston speak about the chances of me giving up this North Fork and going back to the “other” rod, “From my cold dead hands!” Just ask the steelhead on the Deschutes and the Sandy… oh wait, they’re in my freezer. Trust me when I say these blanks are the bomb! Its a new ball game. The industry is going to have to play catch-up again Gary!!!
Thanks for advancing the art and science of rod making, again!
Bryan
I’m so excited for these new blanks! I know exactly what I’m going to be getting my father-in-law for Christmas. No longer will I be the deadbeat that married his daughter…
It is going to be a sweet Christmas.

Hi There
Good afternoon. I am Dorothy and is currently running a wholesaler business in fishing tackles. My company, Chop Hock Heng Pte Ltd has been in this business since 1952. We have been selling G Loomis products ( as their local distributors)in Singapore and Sout East Asia for the past years. However, G Loomis had discontinued their blanks production and we wonder if we are able to source the blanks from you.
We hope to be able to continue (with your support) to the biggest supplier of good quality blanks in this region. Just for your information, our company is based in Singapore with a subsidary in Malaysia. We have a force of 10 sales staff to servise a total of about 600 dealers in Singapore, East and West Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei. If you need any other information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
